Yoga to the Rescue – Starts Monday, July 1
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
8:30 – 10:00 AM July 1 – August 30
Yoga to the Rescue classes return in a petite studio nestled in the woods of West Tisbury. There’s only room for 5 people so preregistration is highly recommended. Classes are $20, and I’m offering pre-paid subscription discounts. Online registration is highly recommended.
BOOK YOUR CLASS HERE. If you’re an existing Yoga to the Rescue student, you should already be in the system. New Yoga to the Rescue folks will need to create an account. The precise location is included in your confirmation email, but it’s on Edgartown/West Tisbury Rd. about half way between Alley’s and the Airport. The bike path runs right behind the studio, and it’s very close to the Youth Hostel.
You’ll meander down this pathway to a secluded and shady oasis just steps from the bike path. It’s a rustic building – please bring a water bottle. Plenty of mats and props are available.
Mixed Levels Anusara Yoga at The Yoga Barn
NOTE – I’ve moved from Wednesday to Tuesday. Sherry Sidoti is leading the Wednesday night class.
Tuesday Evening 5:30 – 7:00 PM and Saturday Morning 10:30 – noon
Experience a full range of poses and creative sequencing woven with the heart-opening Tantric philosophy of Anusara Yoga. These upbeat classes are fun, deep, and challenging in an supportive atmosphere of easy-going camaraderie. Props and modifications are offered for all so everyone can reach their full potential. No pressure – just play!
The Yoga Barn is just off State Rd in West Tisbury. From Alley’s store, go .5 mile and pass “Entering Chilmark” sign. Yoga Barn is immediately after that on the right. If you come to the Grey Barn Farm, turn around. The Yoga Barn accepts cash, checks, and credit cards and has mats available for rent for $2.00.
SATURDAY MORNING STUDENTS – there’s often a traffic jam near the West Tisbury Farmer’s Market that will delay your arrival at the Yoga Barn. I recommend leaving an extra ten minutes early if you’re coming from Vineyard Haven, Oak Bluffs, Edgartown or anywhere east of Alley’s General Store. Better yet, leave even earlier and enjoy the market before coming to class. If you’re a little late, relax, take a deep breath, leave your shoes in the hallway, and come in to the studio after you hear the final “om”. You can save time by preregistering for the class on the Yoga Barn website here.
